Horse Head started in 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. They released a demo in 2012, and a well-received EP in 2013, entitled, “Missionary”. This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10

I really like this band, they got such a sludgetastic coolness about them. TORPOR swagger in between sludge, metal, doom and post metal with ease as if they've been writing this fantastic noise forever. Found another fave band of mine.
